Police in Portsmouth say a body was found near Pebble Beach on Monday evening.
Officers were called shortly before 6:00 p.m. for a report of a body in the water near Indian Avenue along the Portsmouth-Middletown line.
The victim is believed to be a man who had been fishing in the Area.
The body was taken to McCorrie Beach, and police say their investigation is ongoing.
