Do Not Swim Order For Some Swimming Areas

The Rhode Island Department of Public Health has recommended the closure of six swimming areas due to high bacteria counts.

In Warwick, Conimicut Beach, Oakland Beach and the swimming area at City Park are closed.

In addition, Bristol Town Beach, Warren Town Beach, and Sandy Point Beach in Portsmouth have also been closed.

RIDOH says it will continue to monitor and review water quality through Labor Day.
