The city of Pawtucket has awarded a design contract for a pedestrian bridge at Tidewater Landing.
The 1-point-4-million-dollar contract for the project that is expected to include the bridge, a riverwalk on the banks of the Seekonk River, a storm water park and a proposed stairway from Pleasant Street to Taft Street.
Mayor Donald Grebien says as the construction of Tidewater Stadium continues, the city is thrilled to continue with other parts of the development.
