Woman Arrested For Infant Left In Hot Car

A woman is facing charges after leaving an infant in a hot car on Sunday afternoon.

Police were called to Lincoln Mall and found the child in a car seat in a Ford Ranger with the engine off and one window cracked open.

Officers broke into the vehicle and removed the child who was taken to an area hospital for evaluation.

The temperature inside the vehicle was 84-degrees. Lorrie Carter reportedly left the child in the car while she went into two stores.

Carter has been charged with child neglect.
