Today Is State Holiday In Rhode Island

Victory Day is being observed in Rhode Island today.

Since 1948, the state has recognized the surrender of Japan during World War Two on the second Monday in August.

In observance of Victory Day, all state offices and call centers will be closed.

Banks, Mail and Stores are all working today.

Regular business hours will resume at 8:30 tomorrow morning.
