The University of Rhode Island has announced a new master's program.
Applications will open in January for the Master of Science in Mental and Behavioral Health Counseling.
The first class is expected to begin studies next summer with degrees awarded by summer 2027.
The new program was given final approval by the URI Board of Trustees in late June.
