U.S. Senate Election Set - Whitehouse, Morgan Win Primaries

Sheldon Whitehouse is the winner of Tuesday's Democratic primary election for Rhode Island's U.S. Senate seat.

Whitehouse won in a landslide, with more than 82-percent of the vote over former candidate Michael J. Costa.

He will face Republican nominee Patricia Morgan who won the GOP Primary.

Morgan is the first female Minority Leader in the Rhode Island House of Representatives.
