A number of local Rhode Island police departments will soon have more federal resources to crack down on opioid and heroin dealers.
A new round of federal Cops Grants totaling just under five-million-dollars was awarded to police agencies across the Ocean State.
Departments will be able to hire additional officers and conduct more investigations connected to heroin and opioid trafficking.
