Slight Increase RI Unemployment Rate

Rhode Island's unemployment rate is creeping up, it's the highest in New England and higher than the national rate.

The state Department of Labor and Training reported the August jobless number was 4-point-6 percent, a tenth of a percent higher than in July.

Last month's national unemployment rate was 4-point-2 percent.
