RI Energy Crews Head To Florida Ahead Of Hurricane Milton Landfall

Rhode Island Energy crews left for Florida Tuesday to assist with power restoration after Hurricane Milton makes landfall.

Tampa Energy put out a mutual aid call ahead of the storm and around a dozen Rhode Island crews will be assisting.

They are expected to remain in Florida for about a week.

Rhode Island Energy crews that responded to Hurricane Helene are now returning from Virginia so the utility can maintain local staffing levels.
