Pawtucket Introduces New, Electric School Buses

Rhode Island U.S. Senator Jack Reed says students who attend Pawtucket public schools will be riding in style and comfort on 22 new, zero-emission buses, thanks to federal funds from the EPA.

Pawtucket has received just over seven-point-six-million-dollars in rebate funding to purchase the buses through the Clean School Bus Program.

Senator Reed says the transition to electric vehicles will have broader implications beyond schools, and reducing reliance on oil and gas could also impact global energy markets.
