Rhode Island Blood Center Seeking Donations

The Rhode Island Blood Center says there is an urgent need for donations following Hurricanes Helene and Milton.

RIBC says the severe weather in the southeast has led to a strain on the nationwide blood supply that could last for weeks with blood centers closing and blood drives being canceled.

The Blood Center is currently helping to support the national blood supply, and it stands ready to provide additional aid as needed.

RIBC is calling on local residents to donate to help meet the need for blood during this critical time.
