Rhode Island is receiving a second federal grant for the Washington Bridge rebuild.
The U.S. Department of Transportation's 96-point-5-million-dollars and the 125-million-dollar grant announced last month brings the federal funding to the maximum amount the state was eligible to receive under the INFRA and Mega Grant programs.
The state may seek more federal funds as the estimated cost of the project rises.
As for when the actual rebuild begins?
That question has not been answered yet.
