A suspected drunk driver is accused of crashing into a North Smithfield police cruiser.
An officer was inside of the vehicle when it was struck on October 19th, and he suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Thirty-eight-year-old Jeremy Iaciofano of Woonsocket has been charged with driving under the influence, refusal to submit to a chemical test, operating a motor vehicle without proof of insurance, and obedience to traffic control devices.
The officer was on construction detail at the time of the crash.
