No Charges Will Be Brought Against Governor In ILO Group Case

Rhode Island Attorney General Peter Neronha says no charges will be brought against Governor Dan McKee after a multi-million-dollar state education contract was awarded to the ILO Group.

The AG's Public Integrity Unit began an investigation in September of 2021, to determine if the contract worth more than 5-point-1-million-dollars violated the state bribery statute.

The investigation found the administration ignored a state review team's finding and failed to comply with procurement regulations, but there was not sufficient evidence for criminal prosecution.
