Peace activists are calling on Rhode Island Senators Jack Reed and Sheldon Whitehouse to help stop the sale of weapons to Israel.
The Jewish Voice for Peace and other groups rallied last night outside a "Democratic Unity" fundraiser in Providence.
They want Reed and Whitehouse to support a Joint Resolution of Disapproval that is pending in the Senate to end the sale of 20-billion-dollars in weapons to Israel.
A vote on the resolution is expected in November.
