The Woonsocket Community-Partnership Task Force on Housing and Homelessness has released its Action Plan.
The task force has long-term goals, but the immediate priority heading into the winter season is re-opening the "Dignity Bus" which can sleep 20 people a night.
In addition, the partnership wants to create a designated place for single-occupant "Rest Pads" to compensate for the lack of shelter beds.
Mayor Chris Beauchamp says every person deserves a roof over their head when they go to bed at night and the action plan aims to provide immediate relief and create sustainable solutions.
