Governor Says Investigation Into Contract Award Was Politically Motivated

The Rhode Island Governor Dan McKee says an investigation into the awarding of a five million dollar contract to The ILO Group.

The Governor says the investigation has cleared him of any wrongdoing. But the Governor says it was the Attorney General Peter Neronha who orchestrated what the governor called a "politically motivated Investigation."

McKee says it was spurred that by the Attorney General's want for a new candidate to run for governor against him.

Neronha has denied all of the allegations of the governor.
