Providence Could See Millions Generated From NCAA Tournament

The NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament is returning to the Amica Mutual Pavilion in Providence, and it's expected to generate millions in direct spending.

Four of the First Round games will be played on March 20th, followed by two Second Round games on March 22nd.

Jonathan Walker with the Rhode Island Sports Commission says the event could generate close to four million dollars for Providence and the surrounding area.

Walker says 46-hundred hotel room nights have already been booked for the tournament.
