Access To Affordable Child Care Bills

There are now bills in House and Senate to increase access to affordable child care in Rhode Island.

The intent is to expand eligibility for the Child Care Assistance Program.

Reimbursement rates for child care providers would also be raised to meet federal standards.

Sponsors of the bills said families are struggling to find affordable, high-quality child care and they want parents to know their children are in safe and enriching environments.
