Central Falls Mayor Maria Rivera is not going to run for lieutenant governor in 2026.
Last month the Democrat acknowledged she was considering running.
However, The Boston Globe reported that yesterday Rivera said "her heart is in Central Falls."
She cited work to be completed like taking back local control of the city's schools and expanding housing opportunities.
