A Cranston school janitor has been arrested on drug charges.
Police were called to Garden City Elementary School after students were dismissed Thursday for a report of a disturbance and learned that 42-year-old Anthony DeSimone was unconscious on the loading dock.
After refusing transport to a hospital, DeSimone was told to leave and another custodian recovered his property that included a cigarette pack containing baggies with white powder.
Police stopped DeSimone as he was leaving and they allegedly found him with a needle and spoon with burn marks.
The white powder tested positive for fentanyl and DeSimone was taken into custody and issued a no-trespass order for all Cranston public schools.
He is scheduled to appear in court on September 30th.
