A former exotic dancer is suing a Providence nightclub.
The plaintiff claims Wonderland Gentlemen's Club misclassified dancers as independent contractors, failed to pay a base wage and required the payment of illegal fees, fines and tip-outs as a condition of employment.
The lawsuit accuses the club of violating the Fair Labor Standards Act and is seeking damages for unpaid wages, tips or gratuities and restitution for the unlawful fees.
