Union contracts covering employees at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Providence have been terminated per an executive order signed by President Trump in March.
Employees were notified this week that collective bargaining agreements with unions were terminated as of November 13th.
NBC10 reported the Providence VA Medical Center director said employees will benefit because the contracts restricted the VA's ability to hire and promote good workers, hold poor performers accountable and implement changes to better serve veterans.
