RI Minimum Wage Increase To Take Effect On New Year's Day

Rhode Island's minimum wage will be increasing to start the new year.

Beginning on January 1st, the state's minimum wage will go from 15 to 16-dollars-an-hour and in 2027, it will increase to 17-dollars-an-hour.

In August, Governor Dan McKee signed legislation to increase the wage.

Rhode Island and 21 other states will be increasing the minimum wage in 2026.
