The Democratic candidate challenging Governor Dan McKee in the September primary has proposed a millionaire's tax to support new housing in Rhode Island.
Helena Foulkes unveiled her housing plan Monday. Foulkes says the plan is to add an additional marginal tax bracket of three-percent on incomes of one-million-dollars or more.
She says in eight years the plan would have a billion dollars to put towards building more than 20-thousand-homes and apartments that Rhode Islanders can afford.
