Rhode Island Attorney General Peter Neronha is joining a multistate lawsuit to block President Trump's newest round of tariffs.
The coalition says the administration is imposing worldwide tariffs without congressional approval, despite the Supreme Court rejecting a similar approach two weeks ago.
The lawsuit argues the president is misusing a rarely invoked trade law and that the tariffs will raise prices on groceries and everyday goods.
Attorney General Neronha says like most everything the President does, the imposition of tariffs has been fraught with chaos and Americans are literally paying the price.
Rhode Island, 23 other states and two governors are asking a federal court to stop the policy.
