Rhode Island Energy says severe weather is on the way and its crews are prepared to respond to any power outages.
The storm is expected to bring strong, gusty winds to the state starting this evening and continuing into Tuesday.
The utility says it has additional line and forestry resources on standby to respond to outages and damage cause by the storm.
RI Energy officials say if there are outages, crews will be working around the clock to restore service as quickly and safely as the conditions allow.
