Governor Dan McKee has submitted a budget amendment revising the fiscal 2027 proposal governing large-scale solar projects under the state's Virtual Net Metering program.
The revised proposal delivers a more cost-effective program that will save ratepayers up to 258-million-dollars over five years.
The amendment protects existing projects and offtakers, adds a predictable, fixed-rate option and improves cost-effectiveness.
With the submission, the billion-dollar ratepayer relief plan is finalized and before the General Assembly.
